Snowy Hydro SouthCare Helicopter Service was established in 1998 as the primary provider of aero-medical and rescue helicopter service in the Australian Capital Territory and southeastern New South Wales.
The Service saves lives by providing the highest standard of aero-medical and rescue helicopter services to people when they need it most. A variety of missions are completed throughout the year to transport people that have been injured in accidents or patients in urgent need of specialized treatment. The Snowy Hydro SouthCare helicopter also assists with search and rescue and aerial fire-fighting missions.
Since its beginning in 1998, the Snowy Hydro SouthCare Helicopter Service has completed over 3000 missions. This is an average of one life-saving mission everyday of the year.
